Nils Lafon was born in France, in a small beach town by the Atlantic ocean where he found his love for nature and visual elements. His grandfather who was his mentor, was also his inspiration and teacher for all art forms including pottery, sculpture, wood art and other craftsmanship forms.
His inspirations combines flora and fauna together with his love for traveling and appreciation of different cultures.
Nils specializes in wood-art as a medium of expressing himself to create beautiful décor pieces: carved, cut and printed, always using simple forms and organic patterns.
Nils lived five years in Thailand before moving to California, where he shares his time between Lake Arrowhead and Los Angeles.
