JULIE EVANS PAINTER, WATERCOLOR

Julie Evans has always enjoyed drawing and painting, beginning when she was 11.   Developing into an accomplished plein aire painter,  Julie continues to hone her skills by attending various art functions and classes such as lessons from Internationally recognized Master Painter David Farrington.  Julie’s recognition is that of a painter of Realism.  Her art hangs in many private and Public collections, including the permanent collection of the San Bernardino City Hall, and San Clemente State Beach Historic Cottage/Visitor Center.  Julie has also illustrated 21 book covers with her beautiful watercolor paintings. ( a 21 –book series – “The Missions: California’s Heritage”, 2nd Ed. By Mary Null Boule.)  Julie’s art has not been shown in the Mountain area before, so we are thrilled to have her join us for our First Friday event & to share her talent with us!  She’s painted “Lake Arrowhead” paintings exclusively for this open house.

ALS0 ROBERT DAL PONTE METAL ARTIST

Robert Dal Ponte has made his home in Lake Arrowhead since the late 70’s.  Utilizing his skill and expertise as a General Building and Ornamental Metals Contractor, Bob’s work has embellished numerous exclusive Estates here in Lake Arrowhead.  He has experimented with many different mediums to express his Artistic abilities, but keeps drifting back to metal.  “I like the challenge of working with such a durable material, such as Iron: to forge, bend, weld, then finish the sculpture to it looks alivem soft and flowing.”   Following a natural interest in Art, Bob’s influences includes a variety of Art classes during his college years, such as Art history, drawing and sculpting, yet is primarily self-taught.  He has collaborated with local and international artists such as Wendy Maree, Jill Shwaiko, Kenny Majors and Craig Aaron.  We are honored to feature Bob and his collection of Artisan Iron Candelabras created exclusively for our First Friday event.
