Moved to Lake Arrowhead 1974 and returned to painting water colors of the valley and mountains. In the late 1980’s he turned to more serious depictions of life in the San Bernardino Mountains working mainly in oil on canvas. After creating many museum quality frames for his commissioned paintings he returned to his latent talent, illustration and design, and commenced producing hand carved frames depicting scenes of nature, history and native wildlife. He continues to work from his studio overlooking Lake Arrowhead where he enjoys life with his wife Christina.
First Friday Artist ~ Marcelle~ – Porcelain & Jewelry Artisan
Local Artisan, Marcelle began “throwing” clay while in High school in upstate New York, where her teacher noticed a particular talent for working the clay very thin and recommended that she try Porcelain…The rest , as they say…is history. Marcelle moved to California in 1989 and became well known for her unique Porcelain designs and intricate patterns in the glazes. In 1992 she added Sterling Silver jewelry design to her repertoire, where she incorporates fine wire skills with vintage beads to create beautiful wearable works of art. She showed her works at the Sawdust Summer & Winter festivals for several years, and now focuses on her new studio in Newport Beach. Marcelle purchased a vacation home in Twin Peaks in 2005 and was added as a featured “local” artist at The Lake House the same year. Marcelle’s infectious laugh and high energy brings joy to any art show. So, come experience for yourself, Marcelle’s “Artsy” vibe and her beautiful works of art, on August 6th!
