Karen Ford is a citizen of the world. She’s called Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Argentina and now the United States her home. And as a result, she’s developed a deep love and appreciation of different cultures, food, and the wonder and beauty of the natural world.
Julie R. Evans prefers to work in oils, painting realistic scenes that are little slices of life. Her main inspiration is the natural world and day-to-day life, and she is often struck by spontaneous observations that yield successful paintings. Her landscapes convey a feeling of calm and serenity, a place for quiet contemplation.
The Mountains' Humane Society was formed in 1975 by a group of mountain residents who shared a concern for the welfare of local cats and dogs. We are a non-profit 501 c3 volunteer organization that aids domestic animals on our mountain range from Cedar Pines Park to Forest Falls.
