Misty Burruel - Watercolor

Misty Burruel

Artist Statement "Living in the San Bernardino Mountains allows me to investigate a landscape that is in constant flux. Wish you were here… are a series of watercolors reminiscent of postcards.  They reflect my direct experience with the environment through discovery and exploration by way of kayak, boat, and roadside. As a curious observer, I find the myth and beauty of landscapes intriguing.  I am interested in the lucid quality of watercolor and how it allows for a sincere experience of light and space.  My work presents moments that are honest, immediate, transient and seductive.  These moments are both shared and isolated experiences." – Misty Burruel
