Ghislaine graduated from Laval University in Quebec City and after a successful career as a nurse and nursing manager in the South Bay, art became her main focus. She studied design and drawing at Santa Monica City College. She has done work with the Plein Air Painters of America and has studied with many master artists.
Nancy Lutes grew up in Pasadena, where she began her art training. She attended Northern Arizona University studying art and physiology. She uses found objects, gathers fallen branches and natural elements to make her baskets unique and one of a kind. She also takes special orders for baskets. She enjoys designing a special basket that could become a treasured family heirloom.
Lisa graduated from San Diego State University with Honors, Distinction in Art and a BA in Graphic Communications. She worked as a graphic artist, illustrator, and portrait artist for over 10 years in San Diego. Lisa has continued her education with workshops by Elizabeth Tolley, John Budicin, Ken Auster, Michael Obermeyer and Joseph Todorovitch. Today she works primarily in oil on plein air landscapes, larger studio work and commissioned portraits. In addition to teaching in her studio and at Parkhurst Galleries, Inc., she demonstrates for various art groups and gives workshops. She has been published in Orange County's Best magazine and was featured in the artist's spotlight of The Press-Enterprise, July 14, 2008. Lisa is an Artist Member in California Art Club and a signature member of Laguna Plein Air Painters Association.
Camp Paivika operates under a special use permit granted by the San Bernardino National Forest. Located in the beautiful San Bernardino National Forest, the camp offers overnight summer programs for children and adults with mild to severe developmental and physical disabilities such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and Down syndrome.
